FUNtastic Singapore with the sisters part 1

Here I am going to share a bit about my last trip to Singapore with my sister, cousin and other friends. This is my first trip going away to another country without knowing other people who leave in that country. The most important thing about this trip which for me quite awesome because this is my first trip to do backpacker trip. Ha ha ha it is worth it to try and make you want to do it more, even though after the trip you will feel really tired. ha ha ha. It's not fair if I make an introduction that much but I never begin so, here we are....

I went to Singapore for three days, but the other companions will continue our adventures till day five. However I thought I saw quite a lot of Singapore within three days. Firstly, I went to Ngurah Rai International Airport with my scooter. I've just found out that even for long term if we parked scooter in the airport they will charge us with normal price. So I paid only Rp 1.500 for 4 days. But need to remember you should not lose the receipt otherwise you will be in trouble.

Walking little bit and arrived in the departure part. For checked in because our flight with Air As## we should checked in through machine and go to boarding section. There they will checked our passport and if we have luggage they will take it over there. This section everything running well. Well done (prok prok prok). In this situation they just checked out our passport because we didn't bring any luggage only carry bags. Next, the thing that I noticed is before we go through to the gate, we don't need to feel the immigration form because that form only for foreign people or if you want to go a broad to another country which need visa. Because to go to Singapore for Indonesian we don't need visa, so we don't need to fill it. The other things that we need to prepare is air pro tax about Rp 150.000 and beside that make sure you didn't bring any liquid more than 100 ml because it is prohibited.

Arrived in Singapore
The flight takes if I'm not wrong about three hours and the time in Bali and Singapore is same.
When we arrived we saw the weather kinda not so good because it so cloudy which we knew afterward that is fume from the forest fires from Riau, Indonesia. Luckily the weather not that bad, and there weren't rain at all during our trip.
When we arrived in the airport we had not get good impression because the officer kinda unfriendly, I don't know maybe that only my feeling or maybe that is only the tunes of their voice which seems like unfriendly. Anyway, we were quite surprise about that. From our sight we found out that Singapore have three major ethnics such as Malay, China and Indian. This is so unique because three different culture mixed up become one united. Even they language are mixture from that three combination plus English which for me sometimes it is quite difficult to understand.
Passed Singapore immigration, we have to fill everything in the form. We should make sure to write down the address where we are going to stay. If not they will not give you permission to pass the gate. From my sister experienced because we hadn't sure yet where we are going to stay she just put her phone number, and sometime it's work.

So, as a backpacker we tried to use public transport as much as we can. So we used MRT. The airport is connect immediately with the station but the location of the station is in Terminal 1 so, If you still in different terminal, you can find connection train to go to the station and it is free. In Terminal 1 if you haven't had the card/ezy link for transport you should buy from the officer except if you want to transporting only for one time, there also sell single ticket.

When I topped up my ezy link I asked if they had time table for the MRT, but unfortunately they didn't have but the MRT normally will come every 4-6 minutes. The latest time for MRT to operate is up to 12 pm. So If you will travel late night check first what time is the last MRT will be. In Singapore, the taxi's cost is not expensive. If urgent or you miss last train, just catch the taxi.

MRT
Here are little bit explanation about the MRT. There are quite a lot of type of the card that you can use for transporting with MRT. But at that time i used ezy link with minimum top up $10 and it's really convenient and easy to top up in the machine. For the first time to buy this card it cost $12/card.

There are some tips that I would recommend you to do when you travelling :
- Ask more and prepare your self with map of the country that going to go. It is quite important to spotting place to visit first at least you will not waste time to think where are you going to go next.
- Open your eyes wider and listen more to see every sign. So you will not get lost, but if you get lost don't worry just ask the people and try to find out your own way. he he he Good luck ;)
