FUNtastic Singapore with the sisters part 2
Now, I will continue my story in Singapore. Alright, firstly we went immediately to BUGIS. I heard this place famous with their cheap product, so with hungry stomach we tried to go here with one hope find delicious food which acceptable price with our pocket. ^__^
In this market I didn't buy anything. I just passed this place because I was looking for phone sim card. After looking for a while, finally I found it in the small counter. The seller was really helpful. I've just needed to tell them how long I need this card and which country that I want to contact most of time. They gave me good offer and they also help me to activated the internet immediately which is really important for our trip. When I bought the sim card, they asked me the passport and scan it. When I asked why, they said that only for security and it is only happening in Singapore. (Hmm I think this is good regulation to preventive criminal by phone)
The position of Marlion Statue is opposite side of Marina Bay tower. There are two statue, one statue smaller than the other and doesn't throw water from their mouth. And the symbolic one the big one which the water come out from their mouth and go through the river. Next to this place you also can see concert hall, wheel Ferris and a lot of restaurant and cafe.

In here, we saw a lot of shop and some mall. A lot of building and quite crowded. There we found out that some place/shop have higher price than the other, so before you decided to buy something checked the price first till you found good bargain. Except if you hungry enough and can't deal with it anymore hehehe :P. In this case, that was happening to us. We went to one restaurant, the food was yummy but the price kinda expensive above than $5. Which is later on we discovered that in other street shop or food court the cost for one portion is about $1 - $2.5 Anyway, we had great meal even little bit expensive but i think it's quite worth it. ^__^
Bugis they have mall and also market. The market is traditional one which the product combining garmen and also food. The price is average, if your eyes good enough you can find really good quality with good price.
PS.
- If you travel and don't have map, internet is the most important thing in the world (ha ha ha, young people sickness :P)
- The plug in Singapore is with three straight rectangular shape.
- When I asked some people about Internet cafe, they said in Singapore they didn't have a lot of place like that anymore but normally in the hostel they provide it and in most places they also have WiFi.

River Cruise
In here you can hire river cruise. It is so important to book the ticket because if you buy on the spot the price is more expensive.
With hiring river cruise you can see a lot of stuff a long the river and it is so beautiful. Singapore so gorgeous with the night light and so colorful. There are quite a lot of tall building with beautiful architecture. Most of place is surrounded by building either up and down. The city is clean and some places has quite a lot of old and traditional building.
NB : You can drink water immediately from the tap, but if you are searching more carefully there are a lot of place provide special tap for drinking which the water is more fresh. :)
there are an ice cream with wafer or bread which is really famous, The price is up to $ 1-2. You can find it a long the road because the seller is wondering around with their bike. Lets give it a try ;)
Go To Malaysia (KL)
If you want to go to KL as I know there are two ways through bus line and it takes about 7-8 hours.
1. Take MRT to Woodlands and change to interchange bus to go to Johor in Johor take transnational
2. Search and booked via online the bus golden couch and choose the time.
Unfortunately we tried to realization plan no.1 at midnight and we missed everything because the bus for Johor end at midnight. We were not sure if they still have bus from Johor to KL at that time. So we decided to cancel our plan :(
Woodlands is a big station which connect to a lot of place around Singapore. We had Nasi Lemak in the station, when we saw the price it was awesome it only $ 2 but it wasn't satisfying. My sister said the rice taste like cake but it is good experience though. In front of the station there are big market also sell a lot kind of food. We wondered around and decided to look for hostel.
As I said before, MRT close at midnight, so we tried to find hostel near woodlands. The re only one hostel near Woodlands, and it is located in Marsiling. When we asked the officer about that hostel the said we suppose to book first because they have limited rooms. But we are really skeptic. We tried to find that place but we couldn't find it. The other things is we felt uncomfortable with the area because many people was staring at us, so we tried to come back to city. Unfortunately we just could catch train until Ang Mo ti which only has expensive hotel. Luckily taxi's everywhere so we took them till China Town.
TAXI
Thing you should not do If you catch taxi in Singapore:
1. Ask for the price before we ride it because it will annoy them. In Singapore they measure the cost with argometer, so they can't bargain. If they do it that means they are cheating.
2. You have to use seat bell
3. You should not tell the driver to follow others taxi, you should know the address or area that you want to go !!!!
Tips :
--> If you catch taxi, you can catch either which one but not the black one because it's limousine so the price is more expensive with the others
--> If you're booking taxi, normally they will charge you $8. So it's better to call them when you want to go. That won't cost you a lot.
--> Don't worry taxi everywhere and running 24 hours ^__^
Looking For Hostel at Midnight
If you are more than 2 people it is quite difficult to find cheap hostel especially during weekends. So before you go on trip make sure you have list of hostel that you might go. try to call them because most of the receptions close after 12 pm.
After walking for few minutes finally we gave up and we rented hostel with quite expensive price in China Town. Because we were really tired we thought we deserved this place just for one night :P
